Google is IP filtering

In astounding news, Mastermynde is ranking around #9 on google.com and google.ca for "vancouver web design"... at least... sometimes.

Like, from my home.

But not from my office...

Searchgal and I were talking about this and our theory of the day is that Google is doing some IP filtering.

Anyone else have any other anecdotal evidence about this sort of thing?

I'm pretty sure that it's not about ip filtering. Google has a lot of servers and you never know which one handles your request. There are always some delays and synchronization problems.
The other factor that has the impact to change result order is user settings. For example if setting your UI language to german then results are different (even if the search string is targeted to english sites).
Hope it helps. You can contact me trough http://biz.blogs.com
